Summer Football

RULES

• Games will start at 6:20pm and 7:05
• Games are 20 minutes each way with no half time.
• Rolling substitutes
• All games will start and end on time. If you start late you will still need to finish on time as to not delay any other teams.
• Teams of seven. There must always be at least two females on the field at ALL TIMES
• The normal rules of play for the 11 aside game shall apply to playing the game, i.e. start of play, method of scoring, fouls and misconduct, free kicks and penalty kicks.

The following are specific to 7 aside Soccer.

• The Goalkeeper is allowed outside the penalty area (11 Metre Half Circle) but may only pick up the ball inside the penalty area.
• No outfield player is allowed in the Goalkeepers box (Free Kick against attacker or Penalty Kick against defender)
• The Goalkeeper can kick Goal Kicks Only. All other times the ball must be thrown. Indirect Free kick for offence
• A goalkeeper, from a goal kick, may not kick the ball over half way. Indirect Free kick, on half way for offence
• In General play a Goalkeeper can kick or throw the ball as far as they like.
• No off sides
• A player receiving the ball from the goalkeeper (from a goal kick) cannot directly pass the ball back to the goalkeeper. Direct free kick for offence
• No Throw Ins. Throw ins will be replaced by Kick Ins from the line where the ball went out of play.

PLAYERS CONDUCT

• A Sin Bin will be used at the referee’s discretion
• A Sin Binned player will stand behind his goal area for a period of up to five minutes
• Players guilty of serious offences such as violent conduct, serious foul play or foul and abusive language will be sent from the field and a free kick will be awarded to the opposition.
• NO SLIDE TACKLES. When tackling players must stay on Their feet

COMPETITION FORMAT

• 3 weeks of Grading. Each team will start in a 4 team Round Robin Grading Group. The Grading groups will be seeded based on last years results.
• The organisers retain the right to adjust the groups the teams will end up in if the grading is bias in any way.
• The top 2 will go into the Top 8 competition with the 3rd and 4th teams going into the Not Top 8 competition. They will play 7 round Robin games.
• Any teams losing on purpose, as noticed by the organisers, will be deemed to have won the grading and be put into the Top 8 Competition
• The Finals will be have a Semi Final and +Final for each team.
